Apple will unveil its iOS 18 features for iPhones at its developer conference, WWDC 2024. The updates are focused on offering “proactive intelligence” which contains information that surpasses expectations of the user and also on boosting up Siri’s voice capabilities to make it more conversational according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

Features such as auto-summarisation of notifications, spotting and summarising news content, making intrinsic assessments of voice memos, helping to fill the calendar, and suggesting appropriate apps are under consideration. Photo editing tools powered via AI is also expected albeit not as powerful as what some other emerging version of AI system has made available.
These things do not mean that Apple has developed an exclusive chatbot. Both lack generative AI prowess to compete with ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini. Some of the executives are however cautious on the potential incidences of controversies.

Apple will come out with a voice assistant for iPhone – and OpenAI could be providing the technology | SFGate. It was noticed that OpenAI is expanding to be in a position to deal with an expected number of users.
