Google can soon take over HTC Smartphone division
Search engine giant Google is on the last stage of buying HTC’s mobile division so that they could see it to head with Apple and Samsung. HTC already makes Google’s Pixel phone, according to the claim. According to a report, Google will either become a strategic partner with HTC or can buy the company’s smartphone division outright. HTC has been struggling as of last with plummeting profits and falling revenue.
This not for the first time when Google is taking over any company, it has already acquired a major Smartphone companies in year 2012. It has already acquired Motorola just for 12.5 billion dollars and after some time sold it off to Lenovo just in 2.91 billion dollars.The Motorola smartphone division was never profitable for Google – it operated at a 248 million dollar loss during Q3 2013 and 192 million dollars the year before. The company posted a 13 year low in Sales return in the late in 2000, and in the early of 2010
HTC makes great hardware smartphones, build quality and audio capabilities but the brand value and marketing process can only be provided by Google .
