Google C.E.O Sundar Pichai will meet students at Alma IIT Kharagpur
According to reports, Google C.E.O Sundar Pichai all set to visit IIT Kharagpur on January 5th to meet the students. He will relive his old days with teachers and students at a function in Kolkata next week.
As per the statement of IIT Kharagpur director, Google C.E.O Sundar Pichai and distinguished Almnus of IIT Kharagpur, has expressed their desire to visit the campus next week.
The prestigious institute has invited students to come back to the campus on time after winter break listen Sundar Pichai. The Google man is expected to discuss his past, present and future at an open- air theatre. The function is titled ‘A journey back to past to inspire the future.’
Sundar had passed out from the elite institute in the year 1993 with a B.Tech in metallurgical and materials engineering.
After then he went on to pursue an MS in Engineering and Materials Science from Standford University. Notably, he later on he joined Google in 2004 as it is Vice President of Product Management , where he led the team and worked on the Google Chrome browsing, and then last year he was promoted as the C.E.O of the company.
Sundar Pichai’s project of providing free Wi –Fi at Railway Stations
Sundar Pichai earlier in September announced to provide free Wi- Fi services at 400 Railway Stations in India. And recently the Railwire, Google’s initiative reached its 100th destination. The free Wi-Fi at stations will enable passengers to enjoy their journey as they can download movies, songs etc.
Now, according to reports, the services are expected to expand to other 300 stations by Google in next two – three years. Notably, Mumbai junction was the first station to get free Wi- Fi services by the Google.
