Facebook is testing video streaming app for TV

Facebook is currently testing a new feature, which would be allowing the Android and iOS users to stream the Facebook videos to their television sets.

According to a report, Facebook spokesperson has confirmed that the social media giant has started to test the ability for the people to stream videos to their TVs that are further connected to an Apple TV or Google Chromecast.

At the moment, Facebook’s AirPlay and also Chromecast support is the pretty basic. Users can minimize the in-app video player to further scroll through their news feed, while the videos play on the TV.

Users can only set one of the video at a time to stream to an Apple TV. The spokesperson also added that, “We are currently testing the updates to Facebook app that provide a better support for streaming videos from the app to your TV via AirPlay and Chromecast.”

Additionally, the company has been also testing a new WiFi service in India, which is called “Express WiFi”. The new program will further allow the users to purchase data from their service providers in India in order to access the internet. However, the company has not yet disclosed the names of service providers that they are in discussion with.
