Blackberry CEO John Chen announced, mid-range Android smart phones this year
Blackberry plans to launch two new smartphones this year, but the CEO John Chen didn’t disclosed any particular time frame.
These devices will be mid range, where one smart phone will support a full touch screen and the other with a QWERTY keyboard, nothing else is specified. The prices would range around $300 to $400, which translates to roughly Rs.20,000 to Rs.26,000 .
John Chen explained the price cut of Priv, from $699 to $649, as it was “too high end product” for the enterprise. Priv was launched in India at Rs 62,990, and it is now listed at Rs 57,990 on Amazon.
Priv has remained in tight spot because it had more cons than pros, even though the pros were really good it didn’t manage to appeal his fans. Thanks to its badly implemented Hub, average keypad and not so thumb friendly interface like on previous Blackberry devices.
