CBSE Board Exams 2025, Class 10, 12 dates announced, starting February 15, 44 lakh students participating

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the timetable for the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board exams. According to the announcement, the Class 12 exams will start on February 15, 2025, and end on April 4, 2025. The Class 10 exams will also begin on February 15 but will conclude earlier, on March 18, 2025.Every exam will take place during the 10:30 AM–1:30 PM morning shift.

For Class 12 students, the first paper will be Entrepreneurship on February 15, and the last paper will be Psychology on April 4. The board has ensured sufficient gaps between subjects to help students prepare better and avoid exam fatigue.

CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that the datesheet was created considering around 40,000 subject combinations, ensuring no two exams clash. The board also considered competitive exam schedules and teacher availability for evaluation duties.

This is the first time CBSE has released the datesheet 86 days in advance, 23 days earlier than last year. The early release aims to give students ample time to prepare, reduce anxiety, and improve their performance.

How to Download the CBSE Datesheet of Students can download the timetable from the CBSE official website (cbse.gov.in) by following these steps:

Visit the official website and select the Main Website tab.

Click on the notification for Date Sheet for Class X and XII for Board Examinations – 2025.

Open the PDF link to view and save the timetable.

Important Notes

Students must maintain 75% attendance to appear for the exams. Exceptions may be made under special circumstances.

Practical exams, internal assessments, and project work will begin on January 1, 2025, for regular schools. For winter-bound schools, these are already underway and will end on December 20, 2024.

Approximately 44 lakh students from over 8,000 schools in India and abroad will appear for the 2025 board exams.
