Sports: Jay Shah from India was chosen as the next Chair of the International Cricket Council (ICC) without any competition on Tuesday. He will succeed Greg Barclay in December.

Jay Shah, the Chief of BCCI, has been appointed as the Chairman of ICC unopposed. Jay will assume the role of ICC Chairman starting from December 1 of this year. Jay Shah is now the fourth Indian to hold the position of ICC Chairman, making him the youngest Indian to do so.
Paralympic Games are set to open today
The 2024 Paralympics will kick off today, starting on August 28th and running until September 8th.
