Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh, who qualified for the bronze medal match on Monday, beat South Korea 16-10 to double India’s medal tally. The 10m air pistol mixed team competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics was tied at 16 points, with Korea leading 2-0 at the start. India tied the score at 2-2 and then took a 4-2 lead. India extended their lead to 8–2 after Korea’s break, but Korea fought back 14–10. Despite this, India won bronze in the final series with a 16–10 victory.
Manu Bhaker created history
Manu Bhaker makes history by becoming the first Indian athlete to win more than one medal in a single Olympics since independence, alongside Sarabjot Singh, who claimed a bronze in the 10m Air Pistol mixed event at the Paris Olympics 2024 on July 30th. Bhaker won India’s first medal in the Paris Olympics, a bronze in the 10m Air Pistol individual event on July 28, marking the country’s second medal in the competition.

During his conversation with JioCinema following the game, Sarabjot Singh shared his joy over winning the bronze medal but acknowledged that it was a challenging match for the Indian players as it fluctuated in intensity.
