Harvinder Singh, a gold medalist in para archery, and Preethi Pal, the first Indian female track and field athlete to win two Paralympic medals, will carry India’s flag at the closing ceremony of Paris Paralympics on Sunday. Both athletes expressed their gratitude for being chosen for the role.
Josh Inglis shattered the record
On September 6, during the second T20I against Scotland in Edinburgh, Josh Inglis of Australia made history by hitting a rapid century in just 43 balls, making it the fastest T20I hundred by an Australian batsman. Inglis gave an amazing performance, reaching his second T20I century quickly and breaking the record for the fastest century by an Australian in this format.

Praveen Kumar won gold
Praveen Kumar from Noida, aged 21, was born with one leg shorter than the other, achieved his best jump of the season at 2.08m in the competition with five other jumpers, securing the top spot on the podium. Praveen Kumar followed up his Tokyo silver with a gold medal at the Paris Paralympics on Friday. He secured first place in the men’s high jump T64 final by achieving a jump of 2.08m, setting a new regional record in the process.
Neeraj Chopra qualifies for Diamond League
Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who has won two Olympic medals, secured a spot in the upcoming season’s Diamond League finale by placing fourth overall in the standings after competing in 14 series meetings worldwide. The final episode will take place over two days on September 14 and 15 in Brussels.
