Big change in ICC rankings
In the new ICC rankings, significant changes have been observed. Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal, Indian players, benefitted greatly. Kohli moved from 10th to 8th position, while Jaiswal moved from 8th to 7th position. Renowned English batsman Joe Root holds the number one position in this ranking.
Shannon Gabriel announced his retirement
West Indies fast bowler Shannon Gabriel, aged 36, has announced his retirement from cricket. Through his social media account, he announced that he is bidding farewell to international cricket. After serving the country for 12 years in international cricket, he has retired.
