On the fourth day of the second Test between India and Bangladesh, Bangladesh concluded at 205/6 at lunch. After two and a half days, there was finally cricket as the sun came out and the outfield was free for play. Mominul Haque of Bangladesh amassed a century as India took three wickets at the other end. Early in the day, Jasprit Bumrah got rid of Mushfiqur Rahim. Then, Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan were dismissed by Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Siraj with amazing one-handed catches.

After winning the toss earlier on Day 1, Indian captain Rohit Sharma urged Bangladesh to bat first. Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam were eliminated in the first session by seamer Akash Deep’s two strikes. After that, Ravichandran Ashwin got rid of Najmul Hossain Shanto, leaving Bangladesh at 107/3, and the Stumps were declared the winners after just 35 overs of play on Day 1.
Bangladesh lost the first Test against the hosts in Chennai by a commanding score of 280 runs, and now they are down 1-0 in the two-match series. The visitors had just returned from an away 2-0 rout of Pakistan when they landed in India.
