The closing ceremony of Paris Olympics 2024 is set to start at 3 p.m. EDT on Sunday, August 11. It will start in the Stade de France, which is north of Paris, last little longer than two hours, and include both prerecorded and live performances. Fans in the US can watch the games on NBC, which is the only US distributor of the Games, and Peacock, which has been doing a great job of presenting the Olympics this year. The event will also be streamed on NBCOlympics.com.

Many things will be recalled from the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, including drag shows, embarrassing accusations made against some female competitors, swimming in the Seine, and of course, amazing sporting accomplishments. When Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers perform at the Games’ Closing Ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday, the Games will formally transfer the torch from Paris to the city chosen to host the 2028 Summer Olympics in 2028.

Despite a level of alert around live music events in the wake of a failed terrorist plot targeting Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Vienna this week, the Closing Ceremony celebrations will go ahead. Even before word of the intended attack in Austria spread, local officials were worried about crowd control and security, according to a Variety story. Because of those concerns, Variety suppressed the shows’ location.
Along with Southern California icons Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eilish, and Snoop (who became an online sensation during the Paris Games), there are reports that Tom Cruise would pull out a prank to move the Olympics from their current location in Tokyo, Japan, to Los Angeles in 2024. Los Angeles will host the 2028 Summer Olympics from July 14 to July 30.
