Facebook founder Mark Zukerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan have just been blessed with a baby girl, whom they have named Max.
In gratitude, Zukerberg has announced that he is pledging 99 percent of his holding in Facebokk for charity. With this mega magnanimous gesture, Zukerberg has committed almost $ 45 Billion to charity, leaving him with only around $ 450 million for himself.
He has also written a letter to baby daugther “ As you begin the next generation of the Chan Zukerberg family, we also begin the Chan Zukerberg Initiative to join people across the world to advance human potential and promote equality for all children in the next generation….”
This move brings him into the league of ‘Extraordinary Earth Citizens’ like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, who have also in the past donated huge swathes of their wealth to the cause of humanity.
