Summers not only come with the scorching heat, hot weather and heat waves but they also bring with them the problem of power cuts. Many places in New Delhi have started experiencing frequent power cuts.
Places like South Extension, Defence Colony, Nizamuddin, Vasant Vihar, East of Kailash, Jangpura and adjoining areas are being affected as told by the distribution companies of power supply.
Delhi power cuts
However, the distribution companies said that there was no shortage in supply but the power cuts occurred mainly due to local faults.
The electricity has started getting a number of complaints from the residents related to the power supply.
Power cuts were also reported from areas like Mayur Vihar, Laxmi Nagar, Vikaspuri, Safdarjung, Dwarka, Palam, Kalkaji, Uttam Nagar and Janakpuri.
The outages are also occurring due to extreme heat and high power demand from the residents, which are creating a problem in giving electricity network sufficient time to cool down.
