My ‘No’ means ‘No’( Tu haan kar ya na kaar)
“If she says No it means a Yes”, that’s what a guy usually thinks of a girl whom he wants to approach. This makes me think, why he is wasting his time impressing a girl? He should rather be an astrologer who makes such wonderful predictions.
There is a stigma attached to a girl’s ‘No’. Well, being a girl it is astonishing to know that if we say No to a guy he takes it as a good sign. This makes him believe that we are actually saying a yes to his proposal. (Baffled????) There is nothing new in this trend it is present since ages in our society.
In fact saying a ‘No’ is a symbol of an epic romance but our No is justified until boy thinks that we are taking our time and the moment we stick to our ‘No’ life can take an ugly turn.
We can be stalked, get endless calls and countless messages or even some people can come up and convince us to accept proposal.
Well, for these wonderful ideas I have come up with some Thank you notes for all those who have great contribution in creating the misconception that a ‘No means a Yes’.
* Thanks to all Bollywood movies in which this misconception is beautifully portrayed. There are even chartbusters on the concept such as “Tu haan kar ya naa kar”(whether you say yes or no it does’nt matter)
* Thanks to all common friends: Who will help other person by giving our number and would let them know about our details.
* Thanks to all Hindi dialogues that make boys think that they would be perceived as hero. Such as ‘Palat’
* Thanks to all confused girls who themselves don’t take a stand and would say it is difficult to understand us. But the truth is they don’t know about themselves.
* Thanks to all so called experienced men, who guide their young ones that if a girl say no it means a yes. They would claim that they know it because they are ‘Experienced’.
There is no science in it nor does it have any logic. It is simple that if we say No we mean it. Rather accepting it why do you people make our life hell?
Think practically do you say a No when you want to say yes? I don’t think so then why do you expect from us.
Let me know if you have some instances where you actually meant ‘yes’ when you said ‘no’.
