Oct 2 was the first anniversary of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, or Clean India Campaign, a pet project of India’s PM Narendra Modi.
Celebrating the event, Modi gave awards to individuals who have contributed meaningfully to the campaign. These awards, given in 13 categories have been given to individuals based on jury selection, online entries and exemplary work in promoting the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan.
