Love Matters to launch India’s first VR film on Intimate Partner Violence
Care VS Control: Come be a part of the launch on June 17th
Love Matters, a global multimedia project engaging young people to talk about love, sex and relationships is all set to launch India’s first VR film on Intimate Partner Violence. The film titled ‘Kya Yahi Pyar Hai’ aims to break taboos on controlling relationships among young unmarried couples of all genders in India.
The short film has been co –directed by Gayatri Parameswaran from NoWhereMedia and it is conceptualized and produced by Love Matters India.
Motive Behind the Film
The campaign idea ‘Kya Yahi Pyar Hai’ is designed by Love Matters to create awareness against controlling relationships. Most of us actually get confused between controlling and caring relationship. It is a type of violence that occurs specifically in unmarried couples in India, mostly directed against women. The campaign will guide people and will help them to identify abuse in a relationship.
The launch will be preceded by a panel discussion attended by key activists, academicians, and bloggers.

You can visit the Facebook page of Love Matters to get yourself registered for the event. Notably, The Delhi Metro will also have films viewing booths set up across 10 Metro Stations in Delhi for 10 days.
