Kiss and Tell
It’s a feeling that every one of us has experienced and cherished in that moment. It is something that cannot be seen but only felt. Yes, it is a kiss that makes us close our eyes as a reflex and researchers have given us logic behind that.
For long now, there has been a notion about closing the eyes while sharing a kiss stating that our vision cannot focus on something as close up as the other person’s face. But psychologists at Royal Holloway University show how the brain is unable to cope with the combination of visual data and tactile sensation of kissing.
This means that completing a demanding visual task actually reduces people is ability to comprehend touch. And this also explains other actions like failing to notice your phone vibrating while looking for a friend is face in the crowd.
Well, as long as we get to feel those moments. Cheers!
