The bursting of crackers leads to noise pollution and harms patients, children and senior citizens. Due to this govt. has imposed a ban on crackers, but the manufacturers of the crackers filed a case in court to overturn the ban.
Their contention is that the closing of these companies will lead to unemployment on a large scale because of the hundreds of thousands employed in this trade.
The manufacturers of crackers said, “According to Hindu belief, the sound of fireworks and crackers are an signal of the joy of the people living on Earth and making Gods conscious of their rich position. Therefore, a ban on fireworks and crackers would be against Hindu belief and mythology. “
