A Letter to My Independent Friend who gives more importance to her career
To My Independent Friend,
I hope you are doing well and you are in pink of your health. First of all, I will start off by saying that I really hope that you get everything in your life that you want to achieve. But my independent friend, if things aren’t going the way you wanted them to, don’t worry sooner or later, things will get better.
I know you keep on analysing yourself and the situations around you. You want to take right decisions and want to attain something in your life, but the dilemma comes into the picture when you need to choose between ‘LOVE and CAREER.’
Now, I know you love him hard and you don’t have words to express your feelings. Loving someone unconditionally and deeply is a sign of a strong woman and you should be proud of it. There is nothing wrong in choosing love over career, but remember it needs to be your personal choice. The one that you make without any pressure.
If you are one of them who are just confused about what you prefer and you still do not feel confident about the decision of giving less importance to your career, ask yourself- what you want to achieve in your life? We all want to become successful, but the real question is, what we are actually doing to achieve that goal?
Love is a beautiful feeling and everyone on this earth doesn’t get the pleasure of feeling it. But love also has the power to destroy you, even if you give your 100 percent.
Don’t get me wrong. Loving someone unconditionally doesn’t guarantee that you will grow old with that person, but loving your career unconditionally only helps you to grow in your life.
Making him your priority is not wrong , but as I said above, that it has to be choice that you make wilfully. Your career is your identity and people address you through your work. So think twice before you compromise on it for someone.
My friend all you need is someone who can drive your proffesional and personal life to the next life. And who said that it’s impossible to have both an amazing career and amazing partner?
The only thing you need to do is set your priorities right.
Lady Gaga once said :
“Some women choose to follow men and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you’re wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn’t love you anymore”.
Well, girls she has a valid point. So think twice before you make any crucial decision of your life.
