How to make Valentine Special? Tips to make your BAE feel special
Make Valentine Special, here is how to make it super special?
Last year, couples had to face major restrictions on “normal” dating activities with stay-at-home orders, keeping social distance and working from home. This didn’t just affect how people met, explored their romance or even how much time they spent together in 2020. But also, it’s now spilling into 2021 and raising a new conundrum: What and how should Valentine’s Day look like during a pandemic?
As per millennials, this year, couples are trying hard to figure out how they can celebrate safely to minimize exposure and still can have all the romantic feels.
“Despite pandemic restrictions, couples can certainly create an unforgettable Valentine’s Day experience. This would be the year, where you can sidestep any expectations of traditional ways to celebrate and start some new traditions,” said Kalyani, a family and relationship therapist based in Bengaluru.
Here are some romantic Valentine’s special date day and night ideas to let your romance ignite with a partner even if you are married recently or not!
Eat-in: Avoid going to crowded restaurants and pick up your favourite dinner to go. You can also watch your wedding video film again just to reminisce and watch how the conversation and memories come naturally.
Fine dining: Creating romantic dining under the stars, at a park, or candlelight on a blanket in the living room seems perfect. Couples can talk about their marriage for starters for an even deeper emotional connection.
Surprise him/her: Whatever you will do will come as a surprise for your partner so if you don’t have time to make a special dinner for him/her, try and pick up a “wow” dessert or his/her favourite food or a gift. You can also go for a long or short road trip and take him/her to his/her favourite location. There are many ways to surprise your partner you just have to think of a perfect one.
Spend time: It is important to take a day off from work together. It will be fun if your kids are at school, or you can hire a babysitter for the afternoon so that you can have the time alone with your partner for an entire day.
Get cultural: If you and your partner are an art lover then get lost in a museum or an art gallery. It can spark an interesting conversation and will reveal more about you and your partner.
Relax together: Take some time for your own relaxation and book a couples massage. By the time you will get back home, you’ll feel super relaxed and fresh and you will be ready for some late-night fun and action.
Sun fun: Daily office schedule is obviously hectic so try to wake up early to watch the sunrise together with your partner. It has been proven to be a great excuse to snuggle with your valentine on an early morning. You can also just find a romantic spot and watch the sunset together. Researchers say that early morning sex or cuddle is always good.
A staycation: You get one day to experiment with all kinds of stuff so why not decorate a room in a fun way, using cheesy, cheap items that will make you feel like you’ve travelled afar.
Valentine: For some couples, recreating the old memories just work fine. Reminisce about your first Valentine’s Day as a couple or the first time you had a date. Watch your old pictures if you have them with you as it is necessary. You can also ask him/her the questions just have fun and see how much they actually remember from the first date.
Romance him/her with Showtime: Whisk him/her away for a romantic comedy or even action movie you both were waiting to see. You can also watch some all-time favourite Friends or any American sitcom.
Dress for success: Wear something new and seductive to bed. No matter how cold it is, things can turn hot you may never know.
Keep it light: You have to keep this simple with no serious discussions about finances, kid troubles, or criticisms of your family or anything.
