Swedish scientists introduced a transparent wood!
Scientists from a Swedish Institute have developed a transparent wood that could be used in building materials. Now you people soon have a stronger material than glass for natural look light to pass through the walls of your homes.
We all want our living rooms to be brighten and lighted up and we usually opt for light colored paints,mirrors and lots of fancy lights but if walls themselves will be transparent then no need to make your room artificially lighted.
The researchers first removed structural polymer lignin from commercial balsa wood and embedded the resulting wood with a transparent polymer widely known as plexiglass to achieve transmittance of up to 85%.
