For humans to reach the red planet with the technology available is just like a dream come true but still it will take about five months to land on the surface of Mars. As according to a report, NASA researchers are working on a new laser technology.
The idea is to use lasers to propel the spacecraft with giant sails to Mars in just three days and this is not science fiction.The new system of “photonic propulsion” is based on the momentum of photons – light particles – to move forward.
Interestingly, instead of photons of sunlight, the design of NASA scientist Philip Lubin will be a push by terrestrial lasers giant spaceship.Despite having no mass, light particles have so much energy and time.
