Microsoft Devices announced launch of LUMIA 540
Microsoft Devices today announced the launch of Lumia 540 at The Oberoi Hotel, New Delhi. The device is unique as compared to the devices being launched earlier this year as it brings to the consumer a 5.0” HD laminated display with CBD. When we say laminated, it means that screen is really close to the glass which sucks out the air between the glass and screen, and gives the user a feather touch experience. With 8MP camera and 5 MP front facing camera with wide angle this phone fits the requirement of the Indian families since communicating over the internet through skype, tango or other medium gets easy because with the wide-angle now the consumer and their family members doesn’t have to wait for their chance to speak to the person on screen, in fact they all can come together.

During an exclusive conversation with Siddharth Verma, Planning and Portfolio team of Microsoft, we got to know that they are also planning to go a step ahead with their next device Lumia 640 Excel which has a big screen of 5.7 inches with 13 MP back camera and 5 MP front camera at just INR 15, 799. “We believe in giving the consumers wide variety of option to pick from. All these devices stand for something and this one is known exclusively for the looks as it gives you a premium feeling with gloss layer finish to it.”
As far as the camera is concerned, this new device of Lumia gives you every feature you have seen till now and some features which would make you really happy about owning it. It has creative studio (also known as post image processing) and one of the things it has is non-destructive editing which enables you to undo all the editing you have done on your picture and make it as fresh as it was the moment you clicked it, regardless how old the picture is. Also, people who have selfie-craze have the option to skip multiple steps to one, to take a quick selfie.
The sides of the phone are slightly curved up on the screen making it safer. So, if your phone drops, your screen is safe. Also, this product brings to you another new feature called Smart Dual Sim which enables you to set your Sims in such a way that if you get a call in one Sim, the other Sim would get notification about it. Talking about the same feature, Siddharth said, “This idea came about when a consumer told us that in spite of having dual Sim, his or her calling experience is not seamless. So, through Smart Dual Sim, we are giving our customer a seamless experience with simple settings. And when you set in your Sim cards in phone, one of them becomes a data Sim and other for regular stuff like calling, messaging and so on.”
