Astronauts spacewalk to repair International Space Station
Two U.S. Astronauts today did a spacewalk to repair and upgrade some systems on the International Space Station.
Commencing 10:30 AM, GMT, the astronauts Scott Kelly and Kjell Lindgren exited the secure airlock of the ISS to maintenance work.
The spent a total of six and a half hours, during which they installed a heat protective cover on the physics particle detector already installed there since 2011.
While they were out, helping them from inside the ISS was Japanese Astronaut Kimiya Yui.
