Method:

Prepare the Mixture: In a pan coated with vegetable oil, warm the ghee to a low-medium temperature frequently used in Indian cooking. Put in the condensed milk and milk power; it is important to stir vigorously so that it does not from lumps.

Cooking the Mixture: Proceed to continue cooking the mixture and stirring it continuously until the mixture thickens and margin begins to pull away from the sides of the pan. Running time should take between 8-10 minutes of time only.

Add Flavor: If desired add a pinch of cardamom powder to the mixture and fry the pedas for adding additional aroma. Mix well.

Shape the Pedas: When ingredients are mixed and it starts to stick to the pan and gather at the same time in a dough like fashion it is best to turn off the heat. Wait for it to cool a bit so that you don’t end up burning your hands while handling.

Form Small Balls: Lift a spoonful of the mixture and squeeze it gently between your palms to make neat round balls. Now you can press each ball gently between your palms to flatten them a little bit and to give them the shape of the traditional Indian peda.

Garnish: To top up the look a little , place chopped nuts of your preference on top of each peda and slightly press them down.
