Sweet + Fearless + Sensible = Sunny Leone

Fearless, sweet and sensible that is how we found Sunny Leone to be, the hot star and the most online-searched celebrity of Bollywood. Recently during an event, One World News had the opportunity to speak to this gorgeous girl about her upcoming movie- Ek Paheli Leela. The film is one of its kinds as it is a suspense movie based on reincarnation.

How difficult was it for you to play the role of Leela?

Getting into the skin of Leela was quite difficult. It was challenging not only in the terms of physique but also the way she spoke. It used to take 6 hours for me to get into the look of Leela and the dialogue ‘Bhaara naam leela hai’ does seem quite short and easy but it took 10-15 takes to get what you see right now. After getting the look, it was necessary for me to get the body language as well which was even tougher since my body language is like someone who is modern. We had various workshops on the set and workout session too which helped me with the character and even the director has been really helpful.

So, if you have the opportunity to choose the person you want to be in your next birth, who would it be?

Well, I would like to be Salman Khan. As a fan or outside viewer I always think and feel wow about his life. Apart from being a star he is also an amazing person because he is always into charity work, owns an NGO and works for betterment of children, people and so on. Also, no one messes up with him at all. So, if I would have the power like him it would be great.

Did you have the opportunity to meet the localites of Rajasthan?

I didn’t have the chance to interact with people because of the strict schedules of shoot. As I mentioned earlier, if we decided to shoot on 8 in the morning I would have to wake up by 4am and by the time we packed up I could think of nothing but sleep. However, while travelling I could see people dressed in a similar way for years and it is really fascinating especially for people like us who come from metropolitan crowd.

Among your both characters in the movie, who do you relate to?

Meera is a model and Leela is a strong-headed villager and as far as I am concerned, I don’t think I related to any of them because they are fictional characters and are created by imagination. However, Leela has a care-free attitude that doesn’t care what people think about her, which I think is what I have as well.

Leela is a village girl who has certain boundaries. She hasn’t been brought up like us and hasn’t seen the world like we have. If you know anyone in village/remote area you will get to know that such people do not care about what is happening around and they are very different from how we are in this modern world.

Being in the world of glamour, what you enjoy the most?

Well, I can’t choose any one particular thing because I enjoy the idea that I get to do all of this. Even now I wake up and talk to myself about being in India. I am getting to live my dream and I am not bothered if people are liking me or hating me but I am doing what I always wanted to do so that’s the part I love. Yes, there are days when I make mistakes, take bad decisions or not do well but at the end of the day, I thank god and people for such exciting opportunities.

Before we end the conversation, what would you have to say about actors who have denied working with you in future?

I am not bothered about what people have to say because it is my fans who keep me where I am right now.
