Ace Australian swim sweat designer Camilla Franks was the one who designed for the famous Sports Illustrated Swimwear edition and famous plus size model Ronda Rousey worn it with aplomb. Rousey wore the specially designed stuff costing $300 per piece, which was painted with animal prints. “I was thrilled to wear such iconic swimwear from famous designer. It was God sent opportunity for me and thanks the Sports Illustrated swimwear editor for choosing me,” the model said.

Camilla is considered one of the best Designer ever born in Australia. Designing swim wear and other dresses like skirts, gowns etc. she has clients from Royal families to celebrity media personality Oprah Winfrey. “I like to design celebrities separately especially to Royal families because their taste and preferences are different from others. My client is a woman who walks to the beat of her own drum. I celebrate all shape and size and the age do not matter at all,” Camilla said.

Camilla has a unique style. She stands tall. Earlier Camilla used to design tailored jackets, evening gowns, dresses all in loose pattern. But the swim wear brand Camilla brought her immense popularity and the brand has caught the imagination of rich and famous. Her swim wear and other dresses are worn by kate upton, Miranda Kher, Jennifer Lopez and Oprah Winfrey. “Oprah visits me whenever she likes to choose a new collection of swimwear or dresses. She is my favourite client and our friendship is growing,” she said.

Camilla does not think formal training is a must. She said, “I do not have any formal training. It was all self thought. I focused on getting best fabrics from around the world and focused my6 creative urge into the creations of prints. That helped me to become what I am today.” About her swim wear line Camilla feels it was successful because people want a signature, something different.
Camilla swim wear released recently was an extension of the prints from main line collection. “My collections are hand crafted different from the stuff available in the market and make you feel special and beautiful. By wearing my swim wear you can be a part of Camilla tribe,” she said.
