Paving Ways To Stardom
Parth Bhalerao, who got a break in Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ is a Pune- based fourteen year old fun-loving kid. In an interaction with Avalokita Pandey, from One World News, Parth talked about his background, interests and achievements.
How do you manage school and shooting together?
I work on a routine guided by my mother. And, since the school takes pride in their students acting in movies, attendance is managed.
How did your interest in acting develop?
I was always interested in acting, so I gave auditions and was luckily selected in a Marathi film- Killa and then, Bhoothnath Returns followed.
Whose acting in Bollywood or Hollywood, you admire the most?
In Bollywood, I like Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. Whereas, in Hollywood, I am a big fan of Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) and Emma Watson (Harry Potter).
What is your favourite past-time?
In my spare time, I love playing Cricket and Football and also listening to music.
On sets, being away from friends and family, whom do you miss the most?
I miss my baba (father) and school friends, for whom I am a ‘hero’ now. Since, I am the single child of my parents, my mother accompanies me for the shoots and promotions. Meanwhile, my baba stays back in Pune alone and visits me during weekends.
Who is your role model?
My parents have always been my guiding spirit. Besides, on the sets of Bhoothnath Returns, I found the words of Mukesh Sir (Mukesh Chhabria, Casting Director) very encouraging. Along with it, Negi Sir (Kamaljeet Negi, Cinematographer, Bhoothnath Returns) also kept me motivating time and again.
Parth, whose grandfather is almost of the same age as Amitabh Bachchan, says, “My grandfather is strict as compared to Amitabh Sir, who is rather friendly and jolly- minded.” After playing the role of a smart and bold kid who is not afraid of anything, Parth shyly agreed to the fear ghosts.
