Barack Obama to Honor 6 American Indian scientists!
Six -Americans are part of a talented group of 106 scientists and engineers , who will be honored by US President Barack Obama with a prestigious award.
Notably it is the highest award the US government for young independent researchers.
American Indians selected for the race for scientists and engineers early Awards are Milind Kulkarni (Purdue University), Kiran Musunuru (Harvard University), Sachin Patel (Vanderbilt University Medical Centre), Vikram Shyam (NASA), Rahul Mangharam (University Pennsylvania) and Shwetak Patel (University of Washington), according to a statement from the white House.
Milind Kulkarni, an associate professor with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University will also be honoured.
His research focuses on programming languages and compilers that support the efficient programming and high performance in emerging complex architectures.
