Earlier in March 2014, in Bengaluru (aka Bangalore), bars had the deadline till 11.30 p.m. on weekdays and 1 a.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
As the scenario has changed a lot over the past two year, the ways are being all cleared for extending the deadline for bars and pubs till 1 a.m. on all the days. Home department as well as excise have agreed and cleared the above proposal.

Cops are yet freaked and opposing this extension. On the other hand, the pub owners are cautious.
President of Association of Bar and Restaurant, Pub and Hotels, Bengaluru said, �We want to wait for the government order before rejoicing. We welcome the fact that the government finally thinks of us as a mature society, which can handle a late night deadline for bars�.
