Mysore has topped the list of cleanest cities in India. Recently a 73- city survey conducted to estimate the impact of Swachh Bharat Mission in India. Mysore is followed by Chandigarh. The list was unveiled by Urban Development Minister, Venkaiah Naidu today.
However, Prime Minister’s constituency Varanasi is among the dirtiest cities under his pet initiative Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan.
The Minister added that this survey would become an annual feature and would help to increase the awareness among people. The Minister said by the end of this year, 400 cities would be open defecation free.
