Noida’s annual flower show began today at Noida Stadium in sector 21. This is the event has taken up the issue of pollution and consequently Vasant Utsav will dedicate a special section to plants that fight air pollution, both indoor and outdoor.
Noida being a office zone, was not much comfortable with car free and odd-even policies hence the whole NCR is discovering new ways to combat pollution.
Madhu Grover, general secretary of the Floriculture Society, tells us, “The highlight of this year’s show will be plants with practical usage, particularly those that keep pollution in check. We will have a section of plants that help in controlling pollution and keep dust and particulate matter in check.” Vasant Utsav is jointly organised by the Floriculture Society of Noida and the Noida Authority.
Vasant Utsav is praised as one of the biggest flower shows in North India and sees participation from all across the country,inaugurates its 30th edition this year.
