According to a report, the panel which was set up by HRD Ministry has claimed that Rohith Vemula was not a Dalit.
Though there was no official confirmation about the news and Rohith’s brother has rejected all the claims.

The ex High Court judge of Allahabad , AK Roopanwal, appointed by then HRD Minister Smriti Irani, has submitted its report to UGC.
Notably, Rohith committed suicide in January this year and his wrote that his birth was a fatal incident.
