Scorching heat waves conditions continued to affect the normal life in Rajasthan with mercury hitting more than 50 degrees Celsius in at least two places in the state.
Phalodi in Jodhpur district was marked with highest temperature at 51 degree Celsius, while Churu on the other hand boiled at 50.2 degree Celsius, which is seven degree above average.
It was the highest temperature till date for Churu in the month of May. On May 26, 1998, the mercury had reached at 49.9 degrees Celsius in Churu.
Rajasthan suffering struggling with highest temperature
Jaipur marked with 46.5 degree Celsius, 6 degree above average. Even the minimum temperature of the state of 29.4 degrees was two notches over the average.
Jaisalmer and Barmer were also hot at 49 and 49.5 degrees Celsius respectively, while Sri Ganganagar was at 49.1 degrees, Bikaner fought with 49.5 degrees Celsius.
There was almost no city in the state of Rajasthan which has experienced temperature in the day time below 46 degrees Celsius.
According to weather department there will be no respite in the next 24 hours.
