Pre-monsoon are likely to hit Odisha from 5th of this June, as the Met department said that pre-monsoons will hit the south and interior pockets of the state on June 6 and 7.
Meanwhile, the western parts of the state are still suffering from the heat waves as the mercury rose to 40 degree Celsius yesterday in some places.
Pre-Monsoon in Odisha
Bhawanipatna recorded the highest temperature at 44.7 degrees, Sonepur, Hirakud, Sambalpur, Sundargarh,Jharsuguda, Titilagarh and Malkangiri also registered temperature above 40 degrees.
A trough line has developed across southern parts Chattisgarh and there is a possibility of thunderstorms in some areas of Odisha.
