PM Modi to inaugurate multiple projects in Maharashtra today, he will also lay foundation of Shivaji memorial
According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a day’s visit to Maharashtra . He is expected to inaugurate multiple projects in Maharashtra today.
Notably, he will the foundations for Rs. 3,600 crore Shivaji memorial off Mumbai. He will also launch Mumbai, Pune metro projects, SEBI’s new campus, among others.
Prime Minister Modi has already landed at Mumbai airport. Now, he will leave for MIDC Patalganga in neighbouring Raigad district. And there he will inaugurate the newly -built SEBI’s campus.
According to reports, The Prime Minister will then reach Raj Bhavan and later move towards Girgaum Chowpatty for the Shivaji Memorial event.
After visiting Girgaum Chowpatty, PM will proceed towards the Arabian Sea off Mumbai coast, where the state government has planned to build a memorial Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Notably, the Prime Minister’s visit to Mumbai holds a major political significance as high -stake elections of BMC are just few months away.
As per reports , the main feature of Shivaji memorial is that it is slated to cost RS. 3600 crore. It will be 192 -metre -tall statue of iconic Maratha king.
Later in the evening, PM Modi will address a public function at the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
Interestingly, the government has sent out invitation for the MMRDA. The list of guest includes the names of the royal family and Shivaji historians.
The government and BJP are leaving no stone unturned in making memorial event success.
