Order Machinery and State laws need to be in action: BJP on Dalits obscenity
Condemning the atrocities face by the Dalits, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday has said any kind of extra constitutional authority which tries to take law and order into its hand is unacceptable, further adding that the state law and also the order machinery has to swing into action.
BJP leader Nalin Kohli has said that, immediate action has also been taken in the NDA-ruled states in this regard.
Dalits Protest
“An attack on any of the countries citizen and any kind of extra constitutional authority trying to take law and order into their hands is just unacceptable. Every person with a right thinking is bound to do that. And anyone can criticize it. With regard to the attacks that have taken place in various states, the states’ law and the order machinery have to swing into action,” he added.
Kohli’s comment was marked in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has expressed his concerns over these recent attacks on people from the Dalit community.
Breaking his silence over this issue while addressing the TownHall meeting on Saturday in New Delhi, the PM took a strong exception to the atrocities on Dalits in Gujarat’s Una in the name of cow protection.
