Opposition attacks Kejriwal government over different types of fever outbreak
Delhi is becoming deadly Delhi these days due to the various deadly fevers from which half of the Delhiites are suffering from. With chikungunya and dengue deaths in the national capital on the rise, the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government in Delhi has come under severe opposition attack.
As the number of deaths due to chikungunya rose to three on Tuesday, the Congress and the BJP attacked the Kejriwal government for doing little. According to reports two more people died of chikungunya in Delhi on Tuesday, taking the toll from the mosquito-borne disease to three.

Former Delhi CM Sheila Dixit was quoted saying that “We saw no fumigation this time in the city. If the government doesn’t fulfill responsibility how will it work? It is the government’s responsibility to take preemptive steps when this season arrives, (and) before people get sick.”
The BJP, meanwhile, questioned the absence of Kejriwal and his top ministers from the national capital during a crisis like this one.
“The Centre is also reviewing the situation on a day-to-day basis and a meeting has been called on Wednesday morning which I’ll be reviewing myself,” Union health minster JP Nadda said.
