The Allahabad High Court has imposed Rs. one crore fine on the Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party led-Uttar Pradesh government due to a land acquisition case of Loni, Ghaziabad.
The court has ordered the state government to deposit the fine to the court before September 15, which has also been fixed as the next date of hearing.

The bench, which included Justice Tarun Agarwala and Vipin Sinha, passed the order while hearing a petition filed by the residents of Loni, Ghaziabad.
The court also directed the state government to file a counter affidavit within 14 days, which has should be signed by an officer not below the rank of a secretary.
