The NIA has today produced the accused Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani alias Ibbu, Mohammed Ilyas Yazdani, Habeeb Mohammed alias Sir, Muzaffar Hussain Rizwan and Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Amoodi before the third Metropolitian Sessions Judge court which had sent them to a 14-day judicial custody.

Moreover, the agency’s application for their custody for interrogation is likely to come up for hearing on Thursday.

The remand report, which was submitted to the court has said that the accused had also acquired explosive materials and weapons to further carry out violent terrorist attacks and were also in touch with the ISIS.

On June 22 following its prior investigation NIA had lodged an FIR stating “criminal conspiracy to wage war against the Government of India” by collecting explosive materials and weapons as they were targeting religious sites, public places and sensitive government buildings in various parts of India.

As per the Central agency, the gang was also preparing improvised explosive devices in order to have a blast, and they were being guided by an online handler, which is suspected to be based in Iraq/Syria.
