According to a report, National Green Tribunal has asked Delhi government to check pollution, which has increased due to lot of weddings happening in the city.
It has also rapped the AAP government over delay in implementing better strategy for controlling pollution in the city.
Noting the use of diesel generators, bursting crackers and loud speakers were the main sources of air and noise pollution. The panel has asked the government to strictly enforce the laws on pollution in the capital.
This came after a plea drew the attention of the panel that wedding season has violated the pollution rules during weddings.
Notably, weddings have not only increased air pollution but have also increased noise pollution.
