Netaji’s Jayanti celebration by I.N.A remembrance association
23 rd January, 2016 marked the 119th birth anniversary of the legendary political leader, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. So, to pay him tribute and to talk about some important aspects of his life an event was organized by I.N.A Remembrance Association at Airport Authority of India officers’ Institute. The concept of the event was originally discovered by Colonel Gautam Das and Rahul Prakash.
The event was informative and threw light on some important aspect related to Netaji’s life and other freedom fighter of INA that probably most of us don’t know.
Notably, event became even more edifying because it was addressed by Colonel Amar Bhadur Singh, the man who was in INA and knew Netaji since his INA days. It was wonderful to listen to him live.

A.B Singh will soon celebrate his 99th birthday and during the event he shared some interesting facts from the life of Netaji.
“He was a man with a persuasive personality and I remember how he uses to persuade all the soldiers. His way of talking, style of working was commendable. He was a devotee of Durga and I got inspired from him and started worshipping maa Durga”, says A.B Singh Bhadur.
The main aim of the event was to make people aware about the role of I.N.A during the freedom movement to tell them that it played a crucial role and still a lot of them don’t get any recognition.

Apart from him , there were many more speakers at event that include, Anuj Aggarwal, Member of HR Airport Authority of India, Gautam Das retired Army officer , Sagari Chhabra, a filmmaker , Professor Priydarshi Mukherjee, JNU.
“There are many freedom fighters, who are still alive out there in other countries and they are not recognized as Indians and thus no help is given to them from our government. I have written a book (In search of Freedom) in which I have shared their original quotes, I think it’s high time we should take a call on it”, says Sagari Chhabra, Flim maker.

“Today PM is going disclose the files related to Netaji and I am glad to him because it is important and this move will make India more transparent. And indeed it is important for today’s generation to know about facts about Netaji’s life”, says Priydarshi Mukherjee, Professor JNU.
The event concluded on the note that Netaji was a powerful politician and India has not yet got a politician like him. The young India need know so much about him and today only PM also declassified 100 files on Netaji because indeed he deserves the dignity of closure.
