PM Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Ghazipur
PM Narendra Modi referred his decision of banning notes of 500 and 1000 little “Karak” just like a tea while addressing a rally in Ghazipur. He referred to his ‘chai wallah days’ in the speech. In order to uproot a corruption karak(strong) decision is necessary. PM Narendra Modi was quoted saying, “And when I was small, people would tell me, ‘Make the chai a little karak’ (make the chai a little strong).” He shared how he used to sell chai at railway platforms when he was young.” During his speech he made it very much clear that demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency was to target those with unaccounted cash.
PM Narendra Modi said that the government officials would not question women, if they will deposit till Rs 2.5 lakh till Rs 2.5 lakh in banks post the demonetisation move, but those who have Rs 2.5 crore unaccounted wealth would not be spared.
