Mumbai goes gaga over the Eco-friendly snow Ganpati
Ganapati idol purely made of snow emerged as an exclusive attraction for the devotees on the last day of the 11 day long Ganeshotsav in Mumbai.
The 5.50 feet tall eco-friendly snow Ganapati was made with 300 kilograms of snow and was kept in an enclosure with the temperature of minus 10 degrees, at the “Snow world” a theme based park in Mumbai.
Many devotees visited the unique Ganpati where they performed aarti and offered their prayers.
This innovative Ganapati idol was created by Abhay and Sushant, the two artists from the city itself.

“Ever since the concept of the eco-friendly Ganapati has come in, we as artists try to prepare new and innovative Ganapati idols. It took me 10 to 15 days to make this snow Ganapati,” Abhay said.
“We decided to complete the idol in 10 to 15 days. This Ganpati is made of soft snow and weights approximately 300”, he added.
The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated in the honour of the elephant-headed Lord Ganesha’s birthday.
