After the attack on BJP, on Sunday Mayawati alleged that the party has “pressurized” the Samajhwadi Party (SP) government in U.P.(Uttar Pradesh) for lodging the FIR against Mayawati and they were also preventing the arrest of Dayashankar Singh, BJP leader, who made derogatory remarks against the chief of Bahujan Samajh Party.

The controversy was raked up by the BJP ahead of 2017 Assembly polls in the State to distract people’s attention from the atrocities on Dalits in Gujarat raised by her inside and outside Parliament, Mayawati claimed.
“It would have been better if she had also asked for stern legal action against the one who gave her derogatory comment and used absurd language against a Dalit’s daughter”, the Supremo said when Dayashankar’s mother asked for FIR.
