Maharashtra government on Thursday ordered a probe into the Islamic leader Zakir Naik’s speeches that reportedly inspired the Dhaka attackers.
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh also came under fire by the BJP soon after a 2012 video showing Singh sharing stage with Naik at an event to promote communal harmony surfed on the news channels.
The video created a war of words between the BJP and Congress.

As a precautionary measure, security personnel were deployed outside Naik’s ‘Islamic Research Foundation’ office in Mumbai
However, Mr. Naik commented that he totally disagree with the allegation that his speech inspired the terror attacks. He said that he never asked people to kill one another.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reported that he has asked the Mumbai police to conduct a probe into the matter and submit the report.
