As the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Kiran Bed is taking extra measures for a “Prosperous Puducherry”. On Thursday she sought cooperation of banks to make the Union Territory more prosperous.

She met with30 scheduled banks at Raj Nivas to seek their help in this. According to a leading channel , Bedi requested the banks to “strengthen municipalities and PWD under ‘Swachh’ scheme, which could be done by procuring de-silting machines, safety equipment for workers engaged in de-silting works, construction of community toilets and holding awareness campaigns.”
She also tweeted- “Going all out for making our #Prosperouspuducherry,Swatchh, Safe,Skilled, bringing into the fold Bankers: @PMOIndia”
She also said that “Swachh, Safety and Skill – the three pillars on which the Prosperous Puducherry mission rests.”
