Kerala obsessed with beef fry!
The South Indian state, Kerala is obsessed with beef fry. Beef is not the commonly used word in India. No one would really connect India with beef. Spirituality yes, perhaps even vegetarianism, but certainly not beef. But they must have not listened about Kerala that loves beef! And with the preference of fried beef. The Kerala beef fry is the stuff of legend.

The most important ingredient to this “heavenly” dish is coconut, a selection of Kerala spices and a lot of patience to handle complications.
To make authentic beef fry which is called in Kerala as “Thanga Kotthu Irachi”, the meat has to be fried along with coconut flakes on a dim flame for half a day.
Manoj Nair, Executive Chef at Brunton Boatyards calls beef as a secular meet in Kerela and tells, “Beef is very indispensable for Kerala. There can be a Hindu, Muslim and Christian, all religions sitting at one table and they’d bond over a plate of beef fry.”
