Kerala CM, LoP opposes surge pricing
Terming the Railways decision to further adopt the dynamic surge pricing, which they have termed as ‘exploitation of passengers’, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday has demanded its immediate withdrawal, while Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said it is an ‘anti-people’ approach.
“Introduction of this flexi fare system will badly affect the passengers from Kerala,” Vijayan said in a statement.

Introduction of the new system for Rajadhani, Duronto and Shatabdi trains was only the first step and this later would be extended to other trains also, he said.
It was sign of clear exploitation of rail passengers, Vijayan added.
Chennithala has also demanded rollback of the new system.
The Railways move have been virtually amounted to looting the people, he alleged.
